To amplify 3M’s commitment to building the skilled trade workforce and change public perception about these career paths, PPC produced a docuseries for 3M which profiled 4 incredible subjects whose futures were impacted  due to discovering a skilled trade career.

Campaign Highlights

  • PPC oversaw subject casting, production, marketing and distribution of the 4-part docuseries.

  • We produced a red carpet media premiere screening during the Sundance Film Festival, in partnership with Variety and the Sundance Institute, with a panel hosted by Variety.

  • Award winning actress Vivica A. Fox hosted the premiere and conducted interviews with top media outlets.

  • 32 media stories ran about the film series, including People, MSN, ExtraTV, NY Post, Ebony, Essence and E!, totaling 3.3B impressions. Skilled was the only Sundance film to be profiled in People magazine three times.

  • Members of Utah’s skilled trade workforce were invited to attend the event to provide their real world insights and celebrate the series.

  • An original song from BMG artist April Gabrielli was commissioned for the film and was released on ITunes on the premiere date.

  • PPC secured distribution on Apple TV, Google Play, The Roku Channel, Kanopy and Amazon Prime Video released the film on National Skilled Trade Day, May 3, 2023.

  • The series has been selected by numerous film festivals, including the Oscar-qualifying American Documentary and Animation Festival.
